The Conscious Castle & Conscious Farm
The Project
Two 13th century buildings
The Conscious Farm (CF) is located right across the Conscious Castle (CC). During the 13th century both buildings already belonged together. Nowadays the CC is mainly used for our retreats, where we can accommodate up to 27 guests, and are using our so called ‘tower temple’ as group room. While the CC has been fully rebuilt and modernized over the last 8 years, the CF is in the process of being modernized and remodeled to our future needs.
What are those needs exactly?
Well, this is what we have in mind for the CF:
* 2 larger group rooms. One is going to be solely dedicated to darkness retreats.
* A wellness area, consisting of a sauna, infrared cabin, hammam and bathing area.
* Extra guest rooms.
* Up to 6 fully independent apartments for our future core team: besides us the ones that commit themselves to live here for at least a year, and are dedicated to further shape our conscious community.
* A vegetable/herbal garden and a food forest.
* Creating areas for chicken and sheep
Our Vision
To live here and to create our dream
We envision to create a conscious, S+ community, with sustainability, harmony, creativity, integrity and authenticity as key elements. Where an open mind and a flexible attitude towards life aren’t mere hollow phrases. We are grateful that we are given this opportunity to live here and to create our dream. A life full of abundance and opportunities at a magical location that we wish to care for with respect for the land, the village, owner, history of the buildings, guests and generations to come.
We are at the beginning of creating the blueprint for future conscious community life, where the sky’s the limit, and limiting beliefs can go straight into our moat!
Who are living here?
The (semi)permanent residents at the moment:
* Joyce and Danny: creators of the concept ‘Conscious Castle 🏰 and Conscious Farm 🌾
* Cedric: together with Joyce and Danny managing the CC. In everyday life an artist, musician and teacher.
* Laika: our always enthusiastic farm dog, already living here for 10 years.
* Ed & Fiep, our owners, who live in Portugal from November till April. While being in the Benelux they live partly in the CF, partly in Maastricht.
